13th December 2020

The whole community in Alton and the surrounding villages has once more demonstrated its kindness and generosity this Christmas season. We have received generous donations from schools, colleges, churches, companies and individuals all motivated by a desire to help their neighbours in need.
So far in December, we have distributed over 2 tonnes of food which is significantly higher than last year at this time. Also, thanks to the generosity of a local businessman and the donations of other kind folks we have been able to provide a meat voucher to all families that come into the foodbank at this time to supplement the tinned and packaged food we distribute.
Our volunteers have also packed and distributed over 60 Christmas food parcels with all those extras that folks enjoy at Christmas. Our thanks go to Cadbury’s who sent us a pallet of chocolate to go in the hampers.
We wish everyone in this wonderful community a Merry Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year.
