The community of Alton have responded fantastically to an urgent request made this month for additional supplies to meet the increased demand seen this summer. In one week, nearly 0.75 tonnes of food was donated by companies and by individuals. These supplies are all now in either our warehouse or in the distribution centre in Market Square and will be used to support families in Alton over the next few months. Thanks to the generosity of Alton the foodbank has stocks of all the items needed to provide a balanced three day supply of food to those individuals and families referred to the foodbank.
